How to design a basic sand-making production line of 200TPH?

Artificial sand has become a trend in the modern world because of the overexploitation of the river sand. In the coastal areas like Fujian, Guangdong, and Guangxi provinces, there are many sand-making plants, many of which are built by our crusher machine factory located in Guangzhou city. In those developing countries, there will be a lot of construction work everywhere, which means that they will also need numerous sand-making lines to help produce sand of different sizes. Today, we will talk about how to design a basic sand-making production line of 200TPH.

Overview of the basic sand-making production line of 200TPH:

1)Total budget: The expected cost of the whole project is around 1,200,000 USD.

2)Raw material and expected product: The raw material could be river pebbles or other stones, and the expected product is 0-0.16mm fine sand, 0.16-0.26mm medium sand, and 0.32-0.38mm coarse sand.

3)Expected capacity: The expected capacity of the whole crushing production line is around 200TPH,

4) Other requests: This basic sand-making line will have an additional sewage treatment division which is optional depending on the local environmental policy.

With these premises, we can then start to design the sand-making production line. Below are the summarized five steps:


1. Select the feeder machine

At this step, we have to choose two feeder machines, one of which is used for jaw crusher feeding while another is used for transfer silo feeding. For the jaw crusher feeding purpose, we need to consider the expected capacity of 200 tons, hence we can choose a feeder machine that processes 200 tons of material per hour or above. For example, our GZB 1000×4500B Rod Feeder, can process 180-500 tons per hour with a motor power of 19KW. As for the transfer silo feeding purpose, we have to consider the processing capacity of the following VSI sand-making machine. Here, we can choose our GZB 1000×1700B Silo Rod Feeder. Of course, you can also choose other feeder machines as long as they can meet the feeding requests.

2. Select the crusher machine

After selecting the feeder machines, we have to select the crusher machine for each crushing stage. First, we have to decide to set up how many crushing stages to meet both the capacity request and product size request. For this kind of basic sand-making line, we can adapt a crushing line of three crushing stages to finish the crushing work. Next, we have to choose the specific crusher machine for these three crushing stages. For the first crushing stage, we can choose a jaw crusher that can handle 200 tons of material per hour or above. For example, our PE750x1060 Jaw Crusher, it can process 120-200 tons per hour with a maximum feeding size of 630mm. For the secondary crushing stage, we should choose a cone crusher that can handle 200 tons of material per hour or above. For example, our ZM1400 Compound Cone Crusher, it can process 150-230 tons per hour with a maximum feeding size of 115mm. For the tertiary crushing stage, we must choose a VSI sand-making machine to produce sand of the above expected sizes. Our PL1000 VSI sand-making machine can process 200-380 tons per hour with a maximum feeding size of 60mm.

3. Select the vibrating screen

Selecting the vibrating screen is the third step of designing this basic sand-making line of 200TPH. There are two main factors we have to consider: the processing capacity and discharging size. In the above premise, we can know that the discharging sizes are respectively 0-0.16mm fine sand, 0.16-0.26mm medium sand, and 0.32-0.38mm coarse sand. Considering these three different requests, we can choose a combination of two sets of 2YK2400x7000 double-layer vibrating screens. The reason why we don’t choose a single set of 3YK2400×7000 three layers vibrating screens here is that it’s hard to screen out the above three different types of sand at the same time.

4. Select the conveyor belt

Now, we have finished the selection of the feeder machine, crusher machine, and vibrating screen. The fourth step in designing the sand-making plant is to have conveyor belts to help move the crushing material from one station to the next. Our conveyor belt of 127KW can take this conveyance job in this sand-making line.

5. Select the sand washing machine

After the screening process, the sand product contains a certain content of mud that reduces the adhesion of sand and the strength of concrete. So, we have to select the and-washing machine to help lower the mud content to under 2%. In this sand-making line, we can respectively choose both two sets of our XL-1500x8000 spiral sand-washing machines and GL-2000x4000 wheel sand-washing machines. After the sand-washing process, we have to set up a sand dewatering machine to exclude additional water content from the washed sand. 6. Select the sewage treatment devices

During the sand-washing process, there will be a large amount of muddy water that needs to be purified according to the environmental protection policy. In this division, we usually have to build some pools including a sewage pool, a potion pool, a transfer pool, and a clean water pool. Except for these pools, we also need 2 sets of filter press machines and one set of concentration tanks. However, the sewage treatment process of this sand-making line looks like so complicated.
