In the previous article, we have already introduced how many crushing stages a gravel crushing production line should have. Usually, there should be three crushing stages or four crushing stages. Also, we have already learned how to choose the suitable crusher machine for each crushing stage in the last article. Today, let’s start to design the layout for the whole crushing production line. As a start, we will share the layout design for four types of classic gravel crushing production lines in the following.
1. Gravel crushing production line on a small scale(capacity≤80TPH)
This type of crushing line usually comes with a temporary construction project, which uses rocks as building materials. For example, a road construction project. The required product turns out to be gravel only, so the capacity request is always less than or equal to 80TPH. Under this condition, the layout design should consist of three crushing stages including primary jaw crusher, second fine jaw crusher, and tertiary fine jaw crusher. However, this design gradually faded out in this crushing field because of its low economic benefits. Instead, we can easily replace it with a highly efficient design that consists of a primary jaw crusher and a secondary cone crusher or impact crusher.
2. Gravel crushing production line on medium scale(capacity≤500TPH)
This type of crushing line is usually requested by construction projects or small plants that produce gravel for sale. In order to meet the requested capacity(80-500TPH), the whole crushing layout should present three crushing stages that consist of a primary jaw crusher, a secondary standard cone crusher, and a tertiary short-head cone crusher. This kind of crushing layout design is also the most common type we can see in our lives.
3. Gravel crushing production line on a large scale(capacity≤800TPH)
This type of crushing production line is often built to produce gravel requested by those big construction projects or those crushing plants that sell the product in the building materials market. Since the expected capacity is between 500TPH and 800TPH, we need to build four crushing stages including the first jaw crusher, secondary cone crusher, tertiary cone crusher, and quaternary short-head cone crusher.
4. Gravel crushing production line on an extra large scale(capacity≥1000TPH)
The requested capacity of this type of crushing line is over 1000TPH, and its final products are gravel in different sizes. This type of gravel crushing production line requires a large amount of investment at the beginning, so it can only be seen in state-owned construction projects or large crushing plants. To reach the requested huge capacity, we have to choose the gyratory crusher to achieve the large intake task in the first crushing stage. The subsequent crushing stage should be the standard cone crusher and the tertiary crushing stage should also be the standard cone crusher. As for the final crushing stage, we can use the short-head cone crusher. This type of gravel crushing production line requires a lot of investment in money, time, human resources, etc. We need to have a professional team to help us finish the whole project from the primary design to the final operation and even maintenance.
Ok, the above is all about how to design the crushing layout for the classic four types of gravel crushing production line. With these instructions, we now can clearly know how to finish the crushing layout design when we are planning a new gravel crushing production line. In the following articles, I will continue to introduce the crushing layout design for other types of crushing production lines.
