How to design crushing line for the ceramic mine?

April 03, 2024

Ceramic mine is a type of important mineral resource that can be used in producing pottery, porcelain, floor tiles, roof tiles, etc. Common ceramic mines include potassium feldspar, albite, nepheline feldspar, Kamado feldspar, and so on. Just like other metal mines, we need to build a crushing line to process original ceramic soil or rock into specific sizes that can be used in downstream processing factories. There are usually two different types of ceramic mine processing lines: dry crushing line, and dry and wet crushing line. In the following, we will talk about how to build such a crushing line for these two types of ceramic processing lines.

1. Dry crushing line

The dry crushing line means that we don’t need to wash the crushed material at the end. This kind of crushing line is usually needed in those ceramic mines that produce dry powder. For this type of crushing line, we should set the primary jaw crusher at the first crushing stage. Then, we should set a vibrating screen before the next crushing stage to sieve out the powder. At the secondary crushing stage, we can choose the standard cone crusher to do further crushing. Finally, we can handle the fine crushing work to the vertical shaft impact crusher which is renowned for its high performance in fine crushing.

2. Dry and wet crushing line

The dry and wet crushing line requires a washing screen to wash the final crushed material. Compared to the dry crushing type, this one is often required by those large ceramic mines that produce both dry powder and boutique. For this crushing line, we still need a jaw crusher to do the primary crushing at the first crushing stage. Next, we need the same standard cone crusher to do the medium crushing work. At the tertiary crushing stage, the vertical shaft impact crusher is still an ideal choice for fine crushing work. Finally, we need to set up a washing screen to wash the crushed material to remove waste mud.

Ok, the above is all about how to design a crushing line to process original soil in the ceramic mines. The above two types of crushing are just the basic designs, which can be upgraded based on specific requests. For example, when you have a special request for increased capacity, we can just add the cone crusher or impact crusher to the corresponding crushing stage. In the following articles, I will continue to introduce the crushing layout design for metal mines.
